Small Commercial Plane Crash Kills 13 In Honduras

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (AP) - A Honduran airline official says a small commercial airliner has crashed near the capital, killing at least 13 people.

Central American Airlines manager Felix Pacheco says the plane crashed Monday morning during a routinely scheduled daily flight.

Air Force Col. Ruis Landa says the plane was en route to the Toncontin international airport in the capital of Tegucigalpa.

Central American Airline owner Dan Ibanks says the plane left the coastal city of San Pedro Sula at 7 a.m. local time (8 a.m. EST; 1300 GMT) and was scheduled to land in Tegucigalpa 40 minutes later.
