Prosecutors: Missing New Jersey mom's body found in Maryland

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. - The body of a New Jersey mother who went missing on New Year's Eve has been found in a rural area of Maryland.

Burlington County Prosecutor Robert Bernardi announced Wednesday that the body of 26-year-old Erica Crippen was found Tuesday afternoon in Sykesville.

It's not yet known when or how she died.

Crippen's husband, 28-year-old Kyle Crosby, was charged in mid-January with her murder. Bernardi said investigators used a GPS device in his car to help track down the area where the body was dumped.

Investigators say Crippen's hands and feet were bound with an electrical cord that also was around neck, and duct tape was found on her face and nose.

CBS Philly reports officials say they believe Crippen was killed in New Jersey. They say Crosby traveled to Maryland shortly after his wife went missing.

On Tuesday, Crosby's mother, Jo Crosby, was charged with helping to conceal Crippen's murder.
