Peter Frampton hurt in minor car accident

(CBS News) Peter Frampton is recovering from a minor car accident on a Southern California freeway that left him with pain in his back and neck on Tuesday, the singer-guitarist revealed.

Frampton, 62, blamed another driver for the accident, chronicling the events on Twitter.

Texting and driving is illegal in California.

Frampton, meanwhile, said he plans to get his health checked out - after his flight.

Frampton will kick off a tour on Aug. 3 in Otsego, Minn. His most recent album, "Thank You Mr. Churchill," came out in 2010.
