A look at the royal wedding website.

(CBS/AP) Eager followers of the upcoming royal wedding can now get even more excited by the wedding's newest feature - a website.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are not the only couple whose wedding details can be found on the Internet. Tech-savvy couples all over the world set up their nuptials on websites. These sites allow for viewers to browse photos, find directions, buy gifts, and even contribute to the wedding's playlist.

Royal wedding guests may not be able to choose the songs for this wedding but they will find photos, videos, updates, and more on

Prince William's office, St. James' Palace, says the website, hosted by Google App Engine, may potentially livestream the wedding on April 29, 2011.

As of Wednesday, the website was not yet brimming  with wedding details. It  simply consists of links to  the royals' existing social media ventures including Buckingham Palace's Flickr account, Clarence House's Twitter page, the Royal channel on YouTube, and the British monarchy's Facebook page.

What officials do promise are the highly anticipated details of Middleton's wedding gown as soon as the information is released.

According to a Google App Engine spokeswoman, it is not known how many followers are expected to visit the website, however, it is safe to say that at least 1,900 - the number of the wedding guests - may browse through.

The government has also launched a website providing practical information to the public for those who want to partake in wedding celebrations.
