(CBS News) The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an online video that's gone viral in which it appears an 80-year-old woman might have been pushed out of a plane.

A year ago, for her 80th birthday, Laverne Everett, of Oakdale, Calif., decided she wanted to jump out of an airplane.

But in a video shot a year ago but just posted on YouTube, after strapping on her goggles, it looks like she changes her mind, reports CBS News correspondent Dave Browde.

She now maintains her knees gave out and her tandem dive instructor was just giving her a nudge, Browde says.

"I kind of froze, I guess you would say," she told CBS station KPIX in San Francisco.

"He knew how bad I wanted to jump," Laverne said to told CBS station KOVR in Sacramento.

But, trouble hit as they started their descent.

"My upper-harness came off. It slipped down," she told KOVR.

She says her blouse flew up over her face and she couldn't see what was going on. She just knew to hold on. ,/P>

The photographer shooting the video even tried to move in to help.

Laverne says she had no idea how scared she should have been until she saw the video.

Laverne doesn't own a computer, so she seems a little overwhelmed by the hundreds of thousands of hits on YouTube her video has garnered in the past couple of days.

The now 81-year-old Laverne has a bucket list that just won't quit. "I never have ridden in a racecar," she noted to KOVR.

A spokesman for the FAA says the agency was unaware of the incident until the video was posted.

The FAA tells KOVR it has proposed more than $900,000 in fines in the past year-and-a-half against the Sky Dive Lodi Parachute Center in Acampo, Calif., for incidents unrelated to the video.
