Nicole Kidman's "Grace of Monaco" release date postponed

The release date for "Grace of Monaco" has reportedly been postponed, pushing it out of contention for this year's Oscars race.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that The Weinstein Company now plans to release the film, starring Nicole Kidman as actress-turned-princess Grace Kelly, in the spring of 2014.

"Grace of Monaco" had originally been slated for a limited theatrical release on Nov. 27 -- positioning it for a possible awards bid -- but, THR reports, The Weinstein Company decided the film needed more time to be completed.

The project, directed by Olivier Dahan ("La Vie En Rose") and written by Arash Amel, also stars Tim Roth, Paz Vega, Parker Posey and Frank Langella.
