Netflix: A look at what's coming and going in January

A new year. A new set of movies and TV series.

Starting in January, Netflix will make available all 236 episodes of "Friends." But the TV favorite isn't the only new content hitting the streaming service next month.

Several new films will pop up, too. "Party time! Excellent."

Yes -- "Wayne's World 2" (1993) will be heading to Netflix, as well as "Mean Girls" (2004), Batman & Robin (1997), "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" (1998)," "101 Dalmatians" (1996), "Bruce Almighty" (2003) and "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" (2011).

And if you'd like to start off the year with a little silence, then you can re-watch Tom Hanks in "Cast Away" (2000) .... "WILSON!!" Also coming is 2014's "Fort Bliss" starring Golden Globe-nominated actress Michelle Monaghan.

Meanwhile, if you're lucky enough to have some time off with not much to do around the holidays then take note: A few excellent titles will disappear come Jan. 1, 2015. Among them? "Boyz n the Hood" (1991), "The Grapes of Wrath" (1940),"The Usual Suspects" (1995), "The Breakfast Club" (1985) and "Carrie" (1976), among many others.
