Justin Bieber cancels concert due to "unforeseen circumstances"

Following a rocky week, Justin Bieber has scrapped one of his two concerts scheduled for in Portugal, the Lisbon venue Pavilhao Atlantico announced Monday.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber was forced to cancel the second performance in Portugal, March 12," a statement explained. "The Canadian singer is eager to play for the Portuguese fans on March 11."

Bieber's manager Scooter Braun told Gossip Cop that Bieber had to scrap the second gig due to logistical issues with the unions. Bieber, who went on a Twitter rant last week, has yet to speak up about the cancellation. At last check Bieber's most recent tweet was "#sundayfunday."

The concert cancellation comes after a whirlwind of a week for the Canadian pop singer. His week got off to a rough start when he tweeted about having the "worst birthday." Shortly after that, Bieber, 19, angered fans after taking the stage late in London. At a separate London show, he collapsed mid-set, forcing him to behospitalized overnight. Then on Friday, Bieber was spotted getting into an altercation with paparazzi.

No matter what, it sounds like Bieber could use some rest and some time away from the spotlight. The singer, though, doesn't expect to slow down any time soon; he has concert dates lined up into the summer.
