John Podesta Joining Bush White House?

It was one of those Washington moments that makes you laugh -  there were a bunch of reporters waiting in the White House lobby today for a press briefing, and from out of a door leading to the West Wing comes John Podesta, former White House chief of staff to former President Bill Clinton. Podesta (I say sarcastically) loved seeing the reporters standing there, since we immediately started giving him grief about what he was up to.

So what was Podesta, who now runs the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank that's a hotbed of anti-Bush sentiment, doing in Bush country? I am not sure, he didn't return a call for comment. I will note, however, that Podesta was scheduled to testify before a House Judiciary subcommittee on the use of executive privilege and how Clinton handled requests from Congress for testimony by his top aides, so that may have something to do with it. Or maybe not. Conspiracy theorists may now file their own suggestions.
