John McCluskey and Casslyn Welch Under Tight Security in Rural Arizona Jail

After nearly three weeks on the run, escaped convict John McCluskey and his fiancee, Casslyn Welch, were captured Aug. 19, 2010, at an Arizona campground after a forest ranger spotted the couple along with the vehicle they allegedly stole.

ST. JOHNS, Ariz. (CBS/AP) Captured convict John McCluskey and his alleged accomplice Casslyn Welch are under close watch in a jail in rural northeastern Arizona.

The pair were captured at a campground west of Springerville Thursday.

Apache County Sheriff"s Office spokesman Sgt. Richard Guinn says McCluskey and Welch are housed in solitary confinement in the Apache County Jail in St. Johns under standard video surveillance.

Officers are also standing outside each of the cell doors for added security.

Initial appearances for McCluskey and Welch are set for sometime Friday in St. Johns.
