JoAnna Garcia and Nick Swisher welcome a baby girl

Nick Swisher and JoAnna Garcia Swisher are now parents to a baby girl.

The Cleveland Indians first baseman, 32, and his actress wife, 33, welcomed daughter Emerson Jay Swisher on Tuesday in Cleveland, Ohio, their rep confirmed to People.

"We are overjoyed, blessed and so full of love that our daughter Emme has finally arrived," the couple said. "She is healthy, beautiful and vibrant. It's the best feeling in the world."

Swisher was put on his team's paternity list Tuesday before the Indians' game against the Detroit Tigers, according to the Associated Press.

The Swishers married in December 2010, and announced in November that they were expecting their first child.

"Words can't describe how blessed we feel to be expanding our family and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new addition," Swisher wrote on his Facebook page at the time. "Your support and kindness has meant so much to us throughout the years and we wanted to personally share the news with you all."
