(CBS/AP) WHITEVILLE, Tenn. - Adam Mayes, the 35-year-old man accused of abducting Tennessee mother Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters, has been described as being like an uncle to the girls.

Mayes is now the subject of an Amber Alert and faces charges in the disappearance of Bain and her daughters, 14-year-old Adrienne, 12-year-old Alexandria and 8-year-old Kyliyah.

FBI spokesman Joel Siskovic said Sunday that authorities were trying to identify two bodies found at a Mississippi home to which Mayes has been linked. He would not say if they were children. Authorities have described Mayes as being armed and extremely dangerous.

Tennessee authorities say Mayes and Bain's husband Gary knew each other.

Melvin Herron, who lives next door to the family, told the Associated Press that Mayes thought the world of the girls.
