James Blunt Singing at the Royal Wedding?

Could British singer/songwriter James Blunt be headlining the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton?

An announcement on "The Early Show" seemed to indicate he was going to be singing at the celebration in April.

Blunt said to "Early Show" co-anchor Erica Hill, "I'd like on confirm on the program, I'm playing the wedding."

Hill said, "Are you really?"

Blunt replied, "No, I'm not."

Hill asked, "Would you write a new song for something like that?"

Blunt laughed and said, "It's not going to happen. I do funerals."

It's been six years since U.S. audiences were first introduced to Blunt. His single, "You're Beautiful," exploded onto the charts becoming an instant worldwide hit.

On "The Early Show," Blunt celebrated the release of his third album, Some Kind of Trouble, which hits stores today. Blunt performed a song from his new album called "Stay the Night." He also sang his hit song, "You're Beautiful," on the broadcast.
