(CBS) - ICO and Shadow of the Colossus were two of PS2's most beloved games - both received critical and commercial success for their creative gameplay and engrossing, less-is-more style of storytelling. Finally, these two landmark titles have come to the current generation bundled on one Blu-ray disc.

Both titles have been upgraded to full 1080p HD resolution and support stereoscopic 3D. Of course, the game engine itself hasn't been overhauled, so don't expect state-of-the-art graphics and detail.

What you can expect is a vibrant and sharp picture that really shows the detail, love and care that the developers put into these games. Considering that these titles are ten and six years old, they really look amazing.

For many of us, this collection is a trip down memory lane - and it's certainly one worth taking time and again. Both games play just as well as you remember from the good old PS2 days. The indescribable charm that Team ICO brings to their titles is as palpable as ever.

For those new to the experience, what have you been waiting for? Perhaps the outrageous lack of backwards compatibility in newer PS3 models prevented you from enjoying these instant classics.

New players shouldn't worry that these titles are outdated or in any way lack the same punch they did upon their initial release. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus have always been in a category of their own and still deliver the same unforgettable experience today.

This collection also boasts plenty of bonus features, including behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the games, dynamic XMB themes and even a sneak peak at Team ICO's highly anticipated upcoming title, The Last Guardian. There are even some in-game features to be discovered in ICO that have never before been released in North America.

The ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection is a love letter to its fans. It reminds us that there is an art to creating a finely crafted game - no multiplayer death-match or Hollywood voice talent required. This collection is a wonderful treat for gamers and really builds the anticipation and expectations for The Last Guardian. Plus, taking on a Colossus in full 3D sounds pretty amazing.

ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection is rated T for Teen by the ESRB. It is available now exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
