First funeral set for child killed in Newtown, Conn.

NEWTON, Conn. A funeral for one of the Connecticut school shooting victims, 6-year-old Noah Pozner, is being planned for Monday.

Pozner's uncle, Alexis Haller, says the funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home in Fairfield, Conn.

Haller describes Noah as "smart as a whip," gentle but with a rambunctious streak.

Noah had a twin sister, Arielle, who was assigned to a different classroom and survived Friday's rampage in which 20 children were killed. Noah had called Arielle his best friend, and with their 8-year-old sister, Sophia, they were inseparable.

A relative said the family moved to Newtown because they didn't feel New York schools were safe enough.

"The reason they moved to that area is because they did not consider any school in New York state on the same level. That's one of the reasons they moved, for safety and education," said Noah's uncle Arthur Pozner, of New York City's Brooklyn borough.

Noah's uncle recalled him as "extremely mature."

"When I was his age, I was not like him," Pozner told Newsday. "Very well brought up. Extremely bright. Extremely bright."
