Die-hard fan builds Broncos-themed igloo

DENVER -- A die-hard Denver Bronco's football fan decided to take advantage of Colorado's cold weather to celebrate the Broncos being in the Super Bowl, reports CBS Denver.

Lindsay Schmitt of Fairplay, Colorado, said it took her 23 days to build a 7-foot-tall orange and blue igloo with 16 rows of stacked snow bricks.

Schmitt said it is 101 inches in diameter at the widest point. There are 287 blocks of solid ice with each block being 2.5 gallons. The small ones are about 1 gallon. She said she used a ladder to finish the last four rows.

"The blocks are dyed with food coloring in celebration of our awesome Denver Broncos," Schmitt said in an email to CBS Denver.
