Vice President Biden closed his eyes for an extended period during President Obama's speech on deficit reduction Wednesday, prompting questions about whether he drifted off to sleep.

You can see the vice president nodding off -- or perhaps thinking deeply about his boss's words -- in the video above. The vice president's office did not immediately respond to a question about whether Biden was sleeping during the speech.
