On Monday, U.N. weapons inspectors are due to report on the August 21st poison gas attack that killed more than 1,400 people in Syria.
Tuesday sees an auction of the Miami Beach mansion where fashion designer Gianni Versace was shot in 1997. Bidders are being asked to put down a $3 million deposit.
On Wednesday, Forbes publishes its list of the 400 richest Americans. Microsoft's Bill Gates, Berkshire Hathaway's Warren Buffet, and Oracle's Larry Ellison topped last year's list.
On Thursday, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Hollywood Sign.
Friday sees the premiere in IMAX theaters of a 3-D version of the classic film, "The Wizard of Oz."
And this Saturday, the third Saturday in September, marks the beginning of Oktoberfest, the annual German beer festival that attracts six million people -- many of whom apparently are eager to get a head start.
