Friday sees the premiere in IMAX theaters of a 3-D version of the classic film, "The Wizard of Oz."

And this Saturday, the third Saturday in September, marks the beginning of Oktoberfest, the annual German beer festival that attracts six million people -- many of whom apparently are eager to get a head start.
