Burglars break into "Brady Bunch" house

It’s not all rosy at the “Brady Bunch” house.

Los Angeles police are investigating a break-in at the house that was on the iconic TV show, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Police responded to a burglary report at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday. They determined that two suspects broke in; the suspects fled the scene after they encountered the homeowner.

Police say the homeowner is safe and uninjured. It’s unclear if the burglary attempt was successful at all.

Author Kelly Oxford wrote several now-deleted tweets saying she lives near the “Brady Bunch” house and the elderly homeowner has had two home invasions in the past three years. She said, “People have assaulted her in her home ... the house she has lived in forever is targeted because it was a still shot on the Brady Bunch, and nothing more.”

The house has been listed on sites like Yelp and Zillow as a TV landmark. Police say they do not have descriptions of the suspect or suspect vehicle.

This is the second time this week that “Brady Bunch” real estate has made headlines. Eve Plumb, who played Jan, sold a house she purchased for $55,000 for $3.9 million.
