The television and movie star is known for his famous junior-senior marriage to Demi Moore and his overwhelming social media following. He has over 6.2 million followers on Twitter (@aplusk) and more than 7.7 million friends on Facebook. It makes sense then that this "wired" celebrity would list his home for sale online.
Kutcher has created an exclusive listing on Zillow.com for his Hollywood Hills bachelor pad.
Proceeds from the sale of his home (listed at $2.6 Million) will benefit the Demi and Ashton Foundation (DNA), a non-profit organization that raises awareness about child sex slavery and helps in the rehabilitation of the victims.
Kutcher bought his Los Angeles home in 2004, during the "That 70's Show" heydey, for $1 million. His father, Larry, and Ashton renovated the property, expanding the home from its original 2,002 square feet to the current 3,235 square feet.
Whether you're out there with cash in hand, or are just an armchair Internet buyer, Ashton's home is a more mature setting than the average bachelor pad. The modern two-story home offers four bedrooms and 4.5 baths in an open floor plan.
Inside the house mahogany, Brazilian cherry and recycled redwoods cover the floors, stairs and trim, giving the rooms an open, light and airy feeling.
The most bachelor-esque feature of the property is probably the 210 bottle wine tower. It takes up an entire room and comes with a temperature-controlled wine cooler.
But, it just wouldn't be a celebrity home without a professional home theater - no worries with this place.
Outside, an infinity-edge hot tub/spa spills into the infinity-edge pool, which then flows into an infinity-edge waterfall. The home sits on almost an acre of land and Kutcher created an oasis of greenery and hidden pathways.
If you want to check it out for yourself you can take a tour. In another cyber-centric move, the former Michael Kelso teamed up with Gilt City.com Los Angeles to sell tours of his home--kind of a modern day star maps I guess.
Kutcher must really love his charity because not only will ticket proceeds go to DNA, but the furniture in the house is going to be sold on the exclusive Gilt Home site February 12 through the 14 (Valentine's Day Gift Hint!).
But, don't think you're getting the couch that Ashton and Demi, uh, slept in. Ashton's actual furniture has already been moved out of the property. Five Los Angeles designers staged the house for the tours and a portion of the furniture sales are going to DNA.
Tickets for the tours go on sale February 4, online of course, at Gilt City. I'm trying to figure out a good reason to get to Los Angeles in time to sneak in!
