Soon after the new iPad was released, complaints began surfacing over Wi-Fi connectivity, among other things. Customers on Apple forums claimed that the reception on the new iPad was poor. Some even said that the original iPad and iPad 2 get better signals than the third-generation tablet. Others claim that the connection doesn't hold for more than a few minutes.
According to an internal document obtained by 9to5Mac, Apple has allegedly instructed AppleCare to replace affected units. Issues cited in the memo included intermittent connectivity, slow Wi-Fi speeds and Wi-Fi networks not seen.

Instructions to "capture" problematic iPads include a list of symptoms that qualify units for replacement. "Capture" in this case is "code for the device to be immediately packed up and shipped to Apple's engineering centers for examination and investigation," according a 9to5Mac source.
Apple's new iPad was announced on March 7 and available for purchase on March 16.
