Adele, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots perform "Hello" with classroom instruments

Adele sounded flawless during her visit to "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Tuesday.

The British singer sang her smash hit "Hello" - but it wasn't an ordinary performance. The song got Fallon's school instrument-treatment with help from The Roots. They backed Adele's soaring vocals with a tambourine, wood block, toy xylophone, bongos, a banana shaker and kazoos.

Also during her visit, Adele performed a non-school instrument version of "Water Under the Bridge" and sat down with Fallon for an interview.

"Hello" appears on Adele's new album, "25," which was released Friday. The set sold 2.3 million copies within its first three days, a huge number by today's standards. On Tuesday, it was announced that she had already broken the record *NSYNC made in 2000 with its "No Strings Attached album," which sold sold 2.416 million albums in its first week.
