July 12 : Salt Lake City, Utah The Early Show stopped in Salt Lake City to give away a Great American Vacation! Thanks to a letter to The Early Show from Susan Peart, Richard and Chris Christensen, who have had a tough year, are headed to Seattle to attend their nephew's wedding. While there, The Early Show has some other surprises in store. The Christensen's will be staying at Seattle's beautiful Fairmont Olympic Hotel for five days and four nights with breakfast every day and dinner at the hotel's award-winning The Georgian Room. The Fairmont will wisk the couple away on a float plane to Washington State's San Juan Islands to go whale watching.
