Roman Catholic bishops, who are heads of dioceses that encompass many Catholic churches, are in the spotlight because of the sex abuse crisis -- and some have even started scandals of their own. The biggest fall yet came when Cardinal Bernard Law, archbishop of Boston, resigned following months of criticism for his mishandling of sex abuse claims against priests. Additionally, at least 325 of America's 46,000 priests were removed from duty or resigned in 2002.
