Pauline Robinson "Robin" Bush
Little Robin Bush was the second child born to George H.W. and Barbara Bush, just before Christmas in 1949, on Dec. 20.
She died a little less than four years later, on Oct. 11, 1953, of leukemia at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Barbara Bush has said that Robin's tragic death left her and her husband with a lifelong sense of compassion.
Says Robin's mother: "Because of Robin, George and I love every living human more."
