Lauren Bush, born in Texas on June 25, 1984, is enjoying a modeling career that has been on the upswing in recent months. She was selected by clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger as the image for his Tommy Jeans spring 2002 advertising campaign.

"Lauren is the quintessential all-American girl and is the perfect face for the Tommy Jeans campaign," Hilfiger said of the Elite model. "Besides her natural beauty, she is charming, full of energy and exudes a certain sophistication."

Lauren also has been on the covers of such high-profile magazines as W, Town and Country, and Tatler.

As a high school student in Houston, Lauren was interested in photography, jazz and ballet. She also spent a summer studying fashion design at the Parson School of Design. In addition, she worked as an intern on the set of the TV sitcom "Friends" and even got to appear as an extra in one episode.

When she goes on to college, she might study subjects as diverse as business and fulfilling her desire to learn to speak French. But she is open to the process of exploration.

As she once told "Entertainment Tonight" during an interview, "I think modeling has definitely offered me the opportunity to step out of my normal safe world, which has been really beneficial in the end. I've been really lucky to have that opportunity."
