Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James was hyped in the national media as a future NBA superstar while still in high school. At just 18, he was selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2003 NBA draft by the Cavaliers and signed a $90 million shoe contract with Nike before his professional debut. It is safe to say he hasn't disappointed his fans or his sponsors, setting numerous youngest player records since joining the NBA.
