Bernard Madoff arrives at Manhattan federal court, Thursday, March 12, 2009, in New York. Madoff was ordered to jail to await his sentencing on June 16 after pleading guilty to the epic financial fraud scheme. The judge, in revoking bail, said the 70-year-old Madoff has the means to flee and an incentive to do so because of his age. Applause broke out in the courtroom after the judge's announcement.
