Caroline, who was 11 months when this photograph was taken with her father, then a U.S. senator from Massachusetts, and mother, spent years in the shadow of high-profile relatives. She shunned the public eye and steered clear of the family business – politics. Then in 2008, the daughter of former President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis began actively lobbying for the Clinton's Senate seat.
