2008 Year In Photos: US Photos
Traders work on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008. The Dow Jones fell to 7,997.28. It was the first time since 2003 that it had fallen below 8,000. The decline coincided with a report from the Labor Department that the Consumer Price Index fell by one percentage point in October, the steepest one-month drop since the index debuted in 1947.
