A Swanson's TV Dinner on the set of The Early Show Monday, Nov. 10, 2008. The original TV Dinners came in an aluminum tray and was heated in an oven. The term is now synonymous with any prepackaged dinner purchased frozen in a supermarket and heated at home, even though Swanson stopped using the name TV Dinner in 1962.
