Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in Paramount Pictures' 1981 "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Ford's authenticity as an action hero was supported by his willingness to perform many of his own stunts. Ford's childhood experience in the Boy Scouts led he and Spielberg to jokingly reverse Ford's knowledge of reptiles into Jones's fear of snakes.
