Brooklyn Bridge Turns 125 Photos
Cyclists ride into Manhattan over New York's Brooklyn Bridge as the sun comes up through it's arches on Oct. 17, 1999. The bridge connects Brooklyn and Manhattan across the EastRiver, and is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the country. It remains a powerful symbol of engineering might and imagination, and a revered fixture in the landscape of the nation's largest city.
