Miley Cyrus performs at the Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles on March 29, 2008. Cyrus became a star overnight when she was cast in Hannah Montana. In October 2006, a soundtrack CD was released in which she sang eight songs from the show. She became immensely popular among young fans almost immediately.
