Hurricane Humberto seen by satellite at 4:15 a.m. EDT Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, as it came ashore in southeast Texas and made its way to eastern Louisiana. The storm, which strengthed to a Category 1 rapidly overnight, made landfall about five miles east of High Island, Texas, near Sea Rim State Park.
