G-8 opponents sleep on a road they blocked between Bad Doberan and Heiligendamm northeastern Germany, on the last day of the Group of Eight Summit, Friday, June 8, 2007. The three-day summit was hit by anti-globalization protests which blocked roads to the summit venue of Heiligendamm. About 16,000 police, many from anti-riot units, were on duty and used water cannons and tear gas against the demonstrators.
