In Milan, Nobel literature laureate Dario Fo startled the crowd at the Romeo Gigli show with an art lecture while models danced in front of reproductions of 16th-century paintings by Mantegna or, as at left, just peered at the pictures. Gentucca Bini's collection for Gigli neatly picked up the rich colors in Mantegna's "Triumphs of Caesar." Fo said he wanted to shake up Italy's staid fashion scene.
