A Christmas tree is lit by Rome's ancient Colosseum on Dec. 7, 2006. The 67-foot-tall tree comes from Val di Fiemme in the Italian Alps. Due to construction work at the traditional location of the Christmas tree in Piazza Venezia Square, this year's tree stands next to the Colosseum for the first time.
