Hot, Hot, Hot! Photos
The sun rises over the Capitol Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, as hot temperatures and high humidity are expected to continue throughout the region. An excessive heat warning has been issued, with afternoon temperatures expected to approach 100 degrees. Meteorologists say the high humidity levels will boost the heat index to about 110 degrees during the afternoon, with the hottest conditions in urban areas.
