Actor-writer-executive producer Steve Carell arrives at the premiere of "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" in Hollywood on Aug. 11, 2005. Carell once said in an interview that prior to deciding on a career as a performer, he held a job as a mail carrier. He explained that he quit after a few months, saying he was "very, very bad at it."
