Firefighters work to contain the remains of a fire Monday, July 10, 2006 in New York. A four-story building on Manhattan's Upper East Side went up in flames and collapsed Monday after a thunderous explosion that rocked the upscale neighborhood. Authorities said the apparent cause was a gas explosion and that a suicide attempt was being investigated.
