In a letter to British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Iraqi parliament speaker Hajim al-Hassani condemned the blasts, saying his people too "are suffering from such brutal acts."
"I take this opportunity to express to you the rejection and condemnation of members of the Iraqi National Assembly and the people of my country to these evil acts," he wrote.
