Good Cop, Bad Cop

Detectives may work together as a good cop/bad cop team. The good cop will make every effort to convince a suspect that they just want to help find out the truth. The bad cop may come on strong in his questioning and mention the consequences or punishment that may take place if a suspect does not cooperate.
