Hawaii
Senate - Winner: Democratic Sen. Dan Inouye
At the age of 80, Sen. Inouye, who has represented Hawaii in Congress since the state’s induction into the union in 1959, won his eighth Senate term. He said that the state could not afford to lose his seniority or his ranking position on the Appropriations Committee. His challenger was former state Rep. Cam Cavasso.
House: Hawaii has two House districts. Both Democratic incumbents, Neil Abercrombie and Ed Case, breezed to re-election.
