Netherlands Troop Contribution: About 1,400

The Netherlands said it would withdraw its troops from Iraq after it completed its mission helping with preparations for the Jan. 31, 2005, elections. As the deadline approached, Foreign Minister Bernard Bot said the Dutch would continue to be active in Iraq and had sent 25 military officers there to help train Iraqi security forces.
