American Film Institute

Founded in 1967, the American Film Institute (AFI) is dedicated to advancing and preserving film, television and other forms of the moving image through teaching, presenting, preserving and redefining the art form.

Each year, the American Film Institute hosts a lunch for stars, directors, producers and writers of what it deems the 10 best movies and 10 best TV shows of the previous year.
