NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CBS/AP) It appears that Rutgers University freshman Tyler Clementi tried to get school officials to change his dorm room before he leaped to his death from the George Washington Bridge.
The 18-year-old violinist from Ridgewood, N.J. killed himself after, police say, he learned that his roommate had secretly streamed video on the Internet of him in a sexual encounter with another man.

NEW YORK (AP) A body found in the Hudson River off New York City has been identified as that of a Rutgers University student whose gay sexual encounter was allegedly secretly streamed online.

The New York City medical examiner's office said Thursday that 18-year-old Tyler Clementi committed suicide. Spokeswoman Grace Burgess says he drowned and had impact injuries on his torso.

(CBS/AP) Tyler Clementi committed suicide Sept. 22, apparently after discovering that his Rutgers University roommate, Dharun Ravi, and friend Molly Wei, live-streamed Clementi in a sexual encounter with another male student without his knowledge, a lawyer for the Clementi family announced late Wednesday.

Rutgers Suspends Sigma Gamma Rho After Hazing Charges
Rutgers, N.J. police said Wednesday the incidents occurred between Jan. 18 and Jan. 25.
The six members who were arrested are Vanessa Adegbite; Kesha Cheron, a School of Arts and Sciences junior; Ilana Warner, a Livingston College senior; Joana Bernard; Marie Charles, a Douglass College senior, and Shawna Ebanks, a Rutgers College senior, according to the Rutgers Daily Targum.
