"Iron Chef" Stole Our Tips Say Ex L.A. Employees

LOS ANGELES (CBS) Two former employees of a Mario Batali eatery are claiming that the "Iron Chef" is a glutton when it comes to his employees' tips, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The lawsuit claims that Batali and his partner, Joe Bastianich, created something called the "Wine Program" at Pizzeria Mozza which funneled a portion of every tip paid by credit card straight into their pockets, according to gossip website TMZ.

Erykah Badu Gets Fine, Probation

DALLAS (CBS/AP) Erykah Badu has paid a $500 fine and will serve six months probation for stripping during a music video shoot at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, where President John F. Kennedy was fatally shot in 1963.

The singer, who is from Dallas,  performed a walking striptease on March 13 for her "Window Seat" music video.

Cops: Man Fakes Death To Beat Traffic Violation

SALEM, Mass. (CBS/AP) Massachusetts authorities are searching for a man they say faked his death just to avoid charges of driving without a license.

The Gloucester Times reported that 42-year-old Michael Rosen of Salem recently sent another man to court to file a certificate showing that Rosen had died the previous week. After that, a judge dismissed the traffic case.

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) A California man who spent 13 years in prison after trying to break into a church to find something to eat, and who became an example of the state's strict three-strikes law, has been ordered released from prison by a Superior Court judge.

Tears rolled down the face of 47-year-old Gregory Taylor when Judge Peter Espinoza ordered that he be set free, reducing his sentence from 25 years to life, to the time he has already served.

The Florida mother who took this photo seen around the world has been arrested.

Nineteen-year-old Rachel Stieringer turned herself in to Clay County Sheriff's deputies and has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after she took a picture of her baby "smoking" out of a bong and posted it on Facebook.

Defense attorneys had argued that intense publicity about the case had so tainted the jury pool that Mitchell could not get a fair trial in Utah.

McKINNEY, Texas (CBS/AP) A gunman drove a pickup truck into a suburban Dallas police department parking lot Tuesday, lit the truck on fire and started shooting at the police station, officials said. He died at the scene.

McKinney police and officers at the nearby Collin County Community College returned the gunfire, college spokeswoman Lisa Vasquez said.
