ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (CBS/WNCT/AP) Jonathan Schipper, a student at a Bible college in North Carolina, was shot and killed in his dorm room, and school officials say another student is responsible.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (CBS/WFOR/AP) Two people are dead, including the gunman, and five others have been wounded in shooting spree around the Gainesville area Monday afternoon.

Gainesville police Cpl. Tscharna Senn identified the gunman as Clifford Miller Jr., 24.

A man in a red truck shot people at several locations, starting around 4 p.m., Gainesville police Cpl. Tscharna Senn told The Gainesville Sun. Five victims were shot within city limits, while the other two were shot in Alachua County, Senn said.

BOSTON (AP) Adam Jasinski, the winner of the CBS reality show "Big Brother 9," has pleaded guilty to a drug charge and to failing to file a tax return for the year he won the $500,000 prize.

Adam Jasinski pleaded guilty Monday to both charges in U.S. District Court in Boston. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 11, but Jasinski was immediately handcuffed and taken into custody to begin serving his time.
