Caught on Tape: McNair's Mistress DUI Video

Video Courtesy Of CBS Affiliate WTVF Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) If former NFL star Steve McNair's girlfriend was upset about being arrested for drunken driving two days before she killed him and herself, she didn't let it show.

McNair was a passenger in Sahel Kazemi's car when Nashville police arrested her a week ago. Police released video of that DUI stop Wednesday, the same day they confirmed that Kazemi, 20, had killed McNair and then herself in a condo McNair rented.

In the video, recorded by patrol car cameras, Kazemi laughed and teased the officer, but also repeatedly asked to have McNair come to the window of the police cruiser where she was sitting.

The officer responded, "He's not happy." McNair, who wasn't charged, left in a cab without talking to her.

"I told him you wanted to talk to him and he was more than welcome to come back to the car. He just left in a taxi," Officer Shawn Taylor told Kazemi.

"I just want to know if Steve is going to come get me from jail," she said. He later bailed her out.

Kazemi, who was smiling, told the officer that she was not drinking and driving and that she was just high. Then she immediately said, "I'm not high."

As the officer questioned her, she got a call from someone who identified himself as Steve. Police Spokesman Don Aaron would not confirm the caller was McNair but said that could be inferred from the conversation.

The caller, who could be heard through speaker phone, told Kazemi the officer was one who had arrested him before.

Taylor stopped McNair and his brother-in-law in May 2007. McNair was charged with DUI because police said he allowed someone who was inebriated to drive his vehicle. That charge was later dropped.

"Do not let him know anything," the caller said.

Kazemi interrupted him to say, "I know, baby, you're on the speakerphone."

She told the officer later, "He told me I was going to meet you someday."

She continued to laugh and joke with the officer, calling him names and reading over his shoulder as he typed up his report.

Police said Wednesday that Kazemi was spinning out of control because of mounting financial problems and her suspicion that McNair was seeing someone else.

I think you're all off base. I'd bet this woman has a benzodiazepine problem. The use of these drugs, causes long term disability of the user's cognitive awareness. All of the school shootings I have looked into, eventually released medical records showing anti anxiety/depression medications were involved. If you'd like to read some research gathered by someone not financially motivated about these drugs, visit:

http://www.benzo.org.uk/violence.htm

My marriage of 10yrs was brought down by my wife's addiction to xanax, and similar medications. She lost all ability to behave as a rational adult on this medication. Violence and verbal assault were often a side effect of her abuse. I remained ignorant of the pill's effects until after I wound up in jail after she lied to the police that I pushed her down the stairs.... do some research on your own, you'll be appalled that these medications are so widely prescribed and distributed illegally.

"allowed someone who was inebriated to drive his vehicle" Lot of class, what a great guy. Peace of crap! To let someone else be your fall guy, so you could look good in others eyes. Can you say CARMA! McNair had money he should have paid for a cab.

We pay a steep price for giving these DUI / DWI offenders a slap on the wrist.

They are domestic terrorists.

[Police released video of that DUI stop Wednesday, ]

where's the rest of the video ... the part that actually qualifies this as a dui? it looked like she passed the sobriety check w/ flying colors to me. there must be some other missing piece that led to the dui charge ... like maybe she refused a breathalyzer.

To be honest he does have a valid point. Every week I look at CBS 48 Hours Mystery and Dateline NBC and I've seen dozens of cases like this. This may not be as cut and dried as it appears. Lots of these cases get reopened and looked at again. And its always the one they overlooked in the beginning who actually commit these crimes, keep an open mind, I think this case will be reopened somewhere down the line. And everyone is gonna be surprised at the outcome.

Mistress did it?? Strange - powder residue was found on the palm of her left hand . Residue (if any) on the top side of either hand was insufficient to make a determiantion as to whether she fired the gun. (if one notices all the other pics of her it appears she was right handed. He was asleep on the couch - seems like if they were splitting up they may have met but most likely one would have left after any discussion. Listen to the live 911 call - it was a joke. It is difficult to believe she did it. If one works had enough and looks of evidence to prove their view point and none to disprove it -likely their concusion will be drawn - Strange

Who else would have done it? The wife? Or the "other/other woman"?
I marvel at the dissenters who crawl out of the woodwork when they have a chance....They survive...just like cockroaches....

She had no problem with the field sobriety test obviously. Seems like this disgraceful LEO was stalking McNair in this case.
